Autumn or Halloween Treat

photo: Ashley Gurule

For those of you who can't get enough of the sweet and salty combo, this week's treat is for you! Adding candy corn to your popcorn is a corny match made in Autumn heaven. Here's how to do it:

Making popcorn with coconut oil can be done two ways. First, you can use coconut oil in place of whatever oil you usually use to make your popcorn.

We actually prefer a different way, though. To keep our delicious RAW coconut oil raw, we air pop the popcorn first. Then we drizzle melted coconut oil over the top. Then add salt.

For this special treat, just add candy corns at the end. Constantly fluff to get a candy in each bite. Be sure to purchase gluten free or dairy free candy if you need it for your food sensitivities. This is a great option to send in a small baggie with your kids for school lunch or a snack. Enjoy!
