Coffee. sugar. coconut oil

three fan favorite ingredients to beautify your skin

What a combo! Our three favorite ingredients, packed into a jar to give your skin a magical exfoliant experience!

Let’s talk about exfoliating for a second…
In our last blog, “How You Can Have Radiant Skin After Winter” - covering natural beauty tips and remedies to uncover your radiant skin - we shared that a gentle exfoliation routine is crucial to maintain healthy and glowing skin.

Exfoliating dead skin cells helps speed up the repairing process and can promote the growth of youthful skin.

We also shared that covering your body in our RAW Coconut Oil (after you exfoliate) will help bring life and hydration to these new skin cells. Sounds great, right?

Well, it gets better! You can make your own INEXPENSIVE exfoliator at home, using ingredients you probably already have at home. This recipe is simple enough for anyone to replicate!

HOMEMADE EXFOLIANT RECIPE

Combine our RAW Coconut Oil with organic coconut sugar or coffee grounds to create a homemade facial or body scrub. Together, these ingredients will remove dry skin and also moisturize new skin. Coconuts naturally carry anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, so using our 100% RAW and Organic oil will also help detox those pores.
Do this twice weekly for smooth skin. Incorporating this step into your beauty routine can decrease the development of ingrown hairs, acne, blackheads, and other dull areas.

A note about our RAW Coconut Oil: Our unique raw method is made to retain all of its original micronutrients and moisture, unlike other coconut oils that overheat or dry out most of the original moisture from the coconut. This raw process gives it a smooth texture (making it easy to apply) and more of what your skin needs. No more gritty coconut oil!

Ideas to be more green:

1. Make your exfoliant from used coffee grounds (safe to use within 1-2 days of making a pot of coffee)
2. All of our coconut oil comes in a glass jar. Reuse one of the jars to make your scrub!
3. Don’t have any coffee? Ask you local coffeeshop if they have any grounds (pre-brewed) that they’re planning to throw out!

117 billion. This is the estimate of people who lived since the beginning of time. That’s a lot! Imagine the history, the events, and stories all these people could tell. And with the wealth of knowledge that has been passed on from generation to generation, it’s quite puzzling how history still tends to repeat itself - especially with oppression and injustice. Though in different forms, it is found in every era.

Celebrating National Oatmeal Month

January 28, 2022

In an effort to be a good Dad, I made my kids eat oatmeal when they were little. I was so proud of myself - but it didn’t last long. Once they discovered other breakfast foods, it was over. I wanted to dig in my heels, but the problem is oatmeal is bland and boring. Even the mascot is an old man with a wig! Pretty soon, even the mention of oatmeal and my kids think they are being punished.

I used to think that Hawkeye was a terrible Avenger. How is this guy with no superpowers going to last one minute against a villain with super human abilities, let alone help fight. Thanks to the new series, he has come to be my favorite because I can relate to him. No flying, no super speed, and no super strength. He's simply a guy who mastered skills to solve the world’s problems (yes, and he has a few cool trick arrows).
