Christian

May 01, 2015

Everyone in town knows that Christian is a fun-loving person. He enjoys listening to music and dancing to the beat, and he carries on his fun personality at home and at work. Christian is married to Myca Joy, and they have two sweet and energetic kids together.

Before working at Dignity, Christian worked as a dispatcher in a catering company. But because all he ever cared of at the time was to have fun, it didn’t work out for him. His relationship with his family was affected, because he only cared about playing online games and having fun.

When he joined the Quality Control team at Dignity, he learned so much about responsibilities. The group was strict about examining and choosing coconuts based on set standards of the company, and this taught him about work ethic.

He shares a story about losing his son once when they went to Metro Manila as a family. It was the biggest most devastating challenge he had to face. They looked everywhere for him, they traced their steps, and even asked to have CCTVs in the areas checked. However, the city was too big and there were just too many people. There was nothing more they could do. Eventually kind people found their son and returned him to them!

Christian’s life and outlook has drastically changed. Yes, he still loves to have fun, but he has grown to be a responsible husband and father. His strength and his joy is bigger than ever. He says, “If I had not worked at Dignity, maybe I would still be a useless person, thinking only of myself and concerned only about having fun.” He’s so grateful to Dignity for helping him become a more responsible and trustworthy worker, husband and father.
