Meet Recelyn. In the grief of losing her brother, the uncertainty of the pandemic, and worry about how she would provide for her children, Recelyn was overwhelmed. She did not know how she would make it, even describing this time “as if my world crumbled.”

Rocelyn worked as a domestic helper in a faraway city for 5 years. This allowed her to save enough money to send her kids to school and put food on the table. But because she was living in a different city, she barely spent any time with her family. There was a long and tiring commute, and the low pay was barely enough. That was when she found Dignity. Recelyn was hopeful this new job would be exactly what she needed. She was given a job in the Production apartment where she learned quickly and excelled at her job. Plus, it was close to home which meant more time to be part of her kids’ lives!

Recelyn found a strong community and the help she needed to carry on. She has confidence that her family will continue to thrive, and shares “I don’t have to worry about expenses.  I am proud to be at Dignity.”
