Meet Mark.
Mark is a loving husband to his wife and a great father to their son. He dreams of getting them out of poverty, and for them to have a good and comfortable life together.
Before working at Dignity, Mark was a construction worker. However, this was not full-time and work was sporadic. The pay he received at the time was not enough to provide for his family of three. He would earn extra by rowing out to the middle of the sea to fish, but even with the earnings he got from fishing, providing for his family was difficult.
When Mark heard about Dignity, he immediately applied for work. He is now part of the Waste Disposal Department. He never imagined how working at Dignity would change his life. When he started working at Dignity, he was able to quit his construction job and even has enough to save up for his family’s future. Today he has more time to spend with his family, and he does not feel as tired as before.
Mark also decided to join Bible study groups within the company, and he realized how this has changed his outlook on life. He once shared, “Working at Dignity has changed my life because I learned about God’s word.”
After a challenging time living and working in the city, Clint learned that he did not need to sacrifice being near family to provide for them.
